It has been some time since I have seen Hungarian Brome Bromopsis inermis in the county, so it was a pleasure to see it in some abundance near Scole.

It was good to see White Sedge, Carex canescens doing well at East Ruston Common SSSI after scrub clearance in recent years.

A small clump of Green-leaved Snowdrop (Galanthus woronowii) was seen in the churchyard of St Remigius, Hethersett.

There were large floating mats of this attractive grass growing along the edge of the River Bure above Horstead Mill.

Our annual joint meeting with the Lowestoft field club and Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists' Society yielded an interesting range of wetland species on Roydon Common, including this Long-stalked Yellow-sedge.

For some reason a number of plant species always seem to bring a smile to my face and I don't really know why - the diminutive Trailing St John's-wort is one of them. (As is its relative Slender St John's-wort.
