'New' Species

This list will include species where the first known occurrence across the two vice-counties was recorded since the beginning of 2000. Only species that have had records in at least four additional tetrads since are listed  (i.e. there are indications that they spreading). These species are particularly worth keeping an eye open for.

Some 'garden escapes' are included (indicated by asterisk) where at least five of the records have been noted as being well away from habitation. There are, of course, several species where the origin is uncertain so the list will not be exhaustive.
