In late June this stunning display could be seen in a hedgerow near Saxthorpe. With its large number of small (25-30 mm diameter) flowers in each inflorescence; the styles fused into a column and numerous small stalked glands on the upper part of the pedicels, it appears to be a form of Many-flowered Rose, Rosa multiflora. The hedge had probably been planted within the last ten to fifteen years and this beauty may have been a part of that planting.
