Dune Pansy is a perennial herb, found mainly in sand dunes and coastal grassland, but also occurring inland by lakes in N. Ireland and on the sandy heaths of the Breckland (M. J. Y. Foley & M.S. Porter in Preston et al, 2002).
In Norfolk, Dune Pansy is confined to the Brecks. It appears to have declined somewhat over the last twenty years.
